We see the return of Doctor Strange in his new movie Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. The movie that is set to release exclusively in theatres on May 6th, 2022 will see the return of Benedict Cumberbatch with his role as the Sorcerer Supreme. This time he will be fighting against a greater enemy than Dormammu, himself.

After almost six years, we are finally getting a sequel to Doctor Strange. The first teaser was released during the post credit scenes in Spiderman No Way Home and was released to the public shortly after. Doctor Strange plays an important part in the plot of Spiderman NWH and in the movie we learn about the different possibilities of the multiverse.

In the trailer we see Doctor Strange and Scarlet Witch coming together to talk about the multiverse but we also see the return of Mordo. He was last seen in the post credit scene of Doctor Strange stealing others magic and abilities and we see him fighting and talking to Strange about himself in the trailer so there is a lot of potential for the plot in this movie with the limited information we got from the teaser.

We also have some recent leaks and rumors surrounding some of the characters and cameos in the movie. Some of the characters rumored to be in this film are Mr. Fantastic from the Fantastic 4, Professor X from the X-Men and Ghost Rider plus more. Although many fans would love to see John Krasinski play Mr. Fantastic these characters are yet to be confirmed. There are also rumors of The Illuminati being formed in this movie due to some of the rumored characters. The Illuminati is a secret organization made up of some of the most brilliant minds in the Marvel Universe. These minds include Iron Man, Doctor Strange, Mr. Fantastic, Namor, Black Bolt and Professor Charles Xavier.

Looks like this movie will be filled with a lot that can set up the MCU for a bright future but we will just have to wait and see.
