Stepping outside into the crisp fall air with a fresh breeze that rustles throughout the trees leaves a subtle reminder and yearning for some fun fall festivities. Throughout Somerset County, there are plenty of fall events to attend with friends and family to enjoy one of the best times of the year! Look forward to learning about the many places that have hay rides, apple or pumpkin picking, corn mazes, pony rides, delicious fan favorite comfort foods, and much more!

Welcoming the new fall season is essential and requires a visit to autumn events, full of Halloween spirit. Snyder’s farm is known to make a great family-friendly outing. On the weekends in October, they offer basic activities such as pumpkin picking and corn mazes, but that does not include more activities such as their hamster wheel and giant slide. At Norz Hill Farm and Market, families can dedicate all day to a lighthearted start, picking pumpkins, riding ponies, going on farm tours, and ending with a spooky experience in the Scare Farm. Downtown Somerville hosts Spooktacular on Halloween night for families to increase their trick-or-treating fun. The Bedminster Charities Fall Fest will have live music and entertainment, food trucks, a beer/wine garden, and plenty of kids' games or activities. It will be held on October 28 from 12 to 5 pm, with a $5 admission fee. Similarly, multiple other fall festivals are occurring, such as a Harvest festival in Watchung and a Fall Festival in Bound Brook. Make sure to attend and get the full fall experience before it’s too late.

Truly, Fall is not Fall without doing the many things that are a part of it. As the leaves change color and each morning gets darker and colder, fun festivities are an excellent way to keep any individual in high spirits. Check out these activities and take the chance to possibly start new beloved family traditions.
