The FAFSA student aid is one of the most well known forms of financial aid for students who need it in whichever college or university they plan to attend. Sometimes people have trouble financially working towards their careers due to a poor source of income, and this can determine whether or not the people who apply for FAFSA qualify and can be quite beneficial. Additionally, sometimes people may have trouble filling out the FAFSA form due to its vast amount of required information and it could be frustrating. So there will be a FAFSA event held for students in Franklin High School to help guide students and parents through the form on January 11, 2025 in the library. A financial aid representative will help students complete the FAFSA application.
This year, according to a new law in the state of New Jersey it is a requirement to graduate High School to receive Financial Aid, which could make one wonder why? Due to it being optional in prior years. According to sources FAFSA was made mandatory to graduate because the state wants to ensure that all students have access to financial aid and to increase college enrollment and reduce financial barriers for students. This was to encourage students to take their educational paths seriously, and to make sure that students don't miss out on the opportunity due to not knowing about these types of financial aid. Along with this, the school offers an exemption for students and parents who don't want to fill out the FAFSA or have no interest in colleges or financial aid.
The students are the future of this nation and all should take every opportunity they are given and always be ready for anything that comes their way. Whether it's college, vocational, trade, working after high school, etc, there are many opportunities and financial aid that is available in the community and FAFSA is a good and reliable place to find it.
