FHS School Spirit-White Out Football Game

Ashley shares about the White Out at the FHS Football game!

Franklin High School had a whiteout football game on September 22nd at 7 p.m., in which students and other attendees wore white in honor of school spirit. It was our second home game of the season. Our upcoming home football games will be on Friday, October 6th against Sayreville High School and our Homecoming game on October 13th against Hunterdon Central Regional High School. After interviewing some of our students, here’s what FHS would like to see in our next home games.

FHS Senior Simarjot said, “I think we should have an actual spirit week with interesting and fun themes leading up to homecoming. I think it will create more excitement about the games, and get people excited about school spirit.” Simarjot also went to the football game and she said, “I enjoyed the game, and the decorations were cute and simple.

The student section was even throwing streamers.” Another student, Daniel said “I had fun at the Friday night football game with my friends. A lot of people participated in the whiteout. It was cool to see the school spirit alive again.”

The student council is in charge of deciding themes and gathering volunteers for decorating games and fundraising events. For last Friday’s whiteout game students volunteered to decorate the student section through Instagram. If interested in decorating for our next upcoming home games follow @fhswarriorssc24 on Instagram, and direct message them when they survey followers for volunteers.

The final score was 18 to 7 with Franklin losing the game against Edison High School. The touchdown was scored by Unisa, player number 4. As always foods, snacks, drinks, and FHS merchandise were being sold at the game.
