On Thursday, September 25th, the Franklin Field Hockey team celebrated their seniors with an exciting game against Union High School. This year, we commemorate as twelve seniors from the team leave the nest: Brynn Van Beveren, Cara Merris, Victoria Osinski, Gabrielle Granados-Enamorado, Saara Pawar, Raquel Zitowsky, Siya Sanghavi, Coral Lowrie, Maria Bernal pineros, Cecily Sosa, and our managers Mariana Alves and Emma Kozubal. To celebrate the seniors, the team made colorful, fun posters and baskets.
The team took home their third win of the season with a shutout, the final score being 5-0. During the first quarter, Gabrielle Granados-Enamorado scored, with an assist from Saara Pawar. In the second quarter, Victoria Osinski scored with no assist. Again, in the third quarter, Victoria Osinski scored with an assist from Junior Haleigha Jones. Finally, in the final quarter of the night, Victoria Osinski scored with an assist from Maria Bernal pineros, and Raquel Zitowsky scored with an assist from Gabrielle Granados-Enamorado. There were also three incredible defensive saves that took place during the game, one by Raquel Zitowsky, Haleigha Jones, and Cecily Sosa.

Our goalie, Brynn Van Beveren, had a total of two saves during the game, with a 100% saving average for the night, allowing the team to win with a shutout.
The night ended with what could only be described as an amazing game!
