The weather continues to get colder as January progresses, the favorite time of year for many individuals. As many have spent last month immersed in festivities and gift-giving. Students in Franklin High School take part in the coziest, most joyous activities and games of the year with friends and family. We find out what the top 3 winter activities are.
First up on the list for many high-school students is ice skating. Many enjoy the exhilarating feeling of flying around on the ice and catching each other from falling. FHS Freshman Kerrigan Peterson says, “I think it’s the best way to make memories with your friends.”
Second on the list was snowboarding. Several students said they visit snowboarding sites with their family yearly. “Gearing up is my favorite part, especially wearing the goggles and taking cute pictures in the snow,” says Jovanka Brook. Although many haven’t gone, they
definitely have it on their bucket list for the New Year.
Lastly, the list is for book lovers. Going to Barnes & Noble and getting hot coffee with friends. Fulfilling TBRs and swoon-worthy winter romances. “Books are honestly the best way to occupy your time and get away from reality, especially cozying up under your comforters,” she stated after asking why she loved this activity.
