Victoria Gabryszewski writes about NFL playoff predictions and gathers the thoughts of Franklin Students
The NFL is a big part of American culture. Every February for the past 58 years, families and friends gather around the television to watch the best, most improved football teams go head to head to win the title of champions. Every year, being hosted by a different stadium, this year being held at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Everyone has their own opinion when it comes to which teams they like, and which they think would advance to the final two. In Franklin, players from the football team answered this question,”Who do you think will win the Super Bowl?” Alex Martinez and Frankie Flores both have their bets on the Dolphins, while Joel Almeida thinks the 49ers will win. Michael Gabryszewski made it clear who he’s not rooting for, simply stating, "Not the Jets,” when asked the question. Upon asking him again, he stated,”The Cowboys, I guess.” Lastly, stating his opinion, Ethan Villa said,”Honestly I would say it’s too early to decide yet.” Then, when asked what teams he would want to win, he said that he would like the Los Angeles Rams or New York Jets to win.
Even if the odds are in a team’s favor, there is still always an equal chance of winning for each team. From a statistical standpoint, the Las Vegas Raiders have a much better chance of winning the Super Bowl compared to the New England Patriots, but even if these teams went head to head, the Patriots can win as easily as the Raiders.
