The NFL Super Bowl has finally come and fans were riled up. On Sunday, February 11, 2024 at 6:30pm EST in Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas Super Bowl LVIII unfolded. This year, the Kansas City Chiefs and the San Francisco 49ers went head to head to see who was the ultimate champion of the year. 

The game started off very successful for the 49ers. They were able to create great success moving the ball down the field and created good momentum towards the beginning of the game. The first quarter ended tied 0-0, but that was until action started unfolding in the second. The 49ers were able to kick a field goal to take the lead, creating a new record for farthest field goal in Super Bowl history at 55 yards. The 49ers lead grew to 10-0 before being cut down to 10-3. 

The Halftime show consisted of dancers on roller skates, shiny outfits, and most importantly, Usher. Joining Usher on the field was Alicia Keys, Ludacris, will.i.am, H.E.R, Jackson State's Sonic Boom of the South, and Lil Jon. He performed a wide variety of songs for the crowd, and made sure to include many smash hits.

The third quarter rolled around, and here is when the momentum started to shift. The Chiefs were able to cut down the 49ers lead again, with a 57 yard field goal surpassing Jake Moody’s record that was set earlier in the game. The Chiefs then were able to grab the lead with a touchdown, making the score 10-13.

Once in the fourth quarter, much like the rest of the game, the momentum was constantly shifting, at the end however, it was tied 19-19, resulting in overtime. The 49ers were able to take the lead back with a 27 yard field goal, but that lead was quickly lost when with just 6 seconds left on the clock, the Chiefs were able to get a touchdown to steal the win from the 49ers. The Chiefs were able to come out of a 10-3 deficit and secure the title of Super Bowl Champions.
